Welcome to the Glengorm Wildlife Project.

..and to our new wildlife steward, Stephanie Cope. Over the past year Stephanie has been busy with cameras, notebooks and surveys, readying us for an exciting new venture here at Glengorm. It's all about the wildlife, the experiences we can share and the memories you can take with you.

Starting on April 1st 2013 we'll see the unveiling of our brand new initiative to showcase the plethora of plants and animals that call Glengorm home. If it's Eagles or Invertebrates, Otters or Orchids that do it for you, strap yourselves in for an exhilarating journey to Scotland's Wild-West. If you're staying for a week or two or even just a day you can find something to do to make your visit here really special!

Stephanie was born in Cheshire, and grew up on a disused farm that was rich in wildlife. Her keen interest in Natural History was encouraged by her family, and ultimately lead to her decision to study Zoology at the University of Edinburgh.

Before finishing her degree she secured a position as a Bird Keeper at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo. She has gone on to work for the RSPB in the Cairngorms (Operation Osprey) and Bristol Zoo Gardens in the South-west of England. She is passionate about conservation both in the UK and overseas, and has worked closely with many wonderful exotic birds.

Stephanie's latest challenge has been to set-up and implement the Glengorm Wildlife Project, through which she hopes to connect more people with Glengorm's spectacular natural heritage.
